Tropic Marin PRO-CORAL IODINE 50 ml

No other trace element has been described as having such diverse effects as iodine: As a component of thyroid hormone, iodine prevents goiter in fish. It is necessary for the molting of crustaceans and is involved in the hardening of their chitinous exoskeletons. Coralline algae incorporate iodine into their surface structure, and gorgonians into their axial skeleton. Brown algae also accumulate this trace element in large quantities.

Experiments have shown that Tropic Marin® Iodine significantly improves the light adaptation and coloration of anemones, especially stony corals. Since a natural supply of trace elements is not guaranteed in a marine aquarium, iodine should be added regularly. Tropic Marin® Iodine contains iodine in its most effective form: as elemental I₂ ​​in a Lugol's solution.

Add one drop of Tropic Marin® Iodine per 200 liters of aquarium water daily, near a circulation pump. If a daily dose is missed, skip that dose. Missed doses should not be added up.
The iodine requirement increases with the stocking density of the aquarium. In densely populated aquariums, the dosage can be increased to the maximum dosage.
Maximum dosage: A dosage of 2 drops per 200 liters of aquarium water per day should not be exceeded.
