Tropic Marin NP-Bacto-Balance 1000ml

The nutrient levels for corals and sponges in reef aquariums are ideal when nitrate and phosphate are present at their lowest concentrations. Tropic Marin® NP-Bacto-Balance, with its blend of selected organic carbon compounds and suitable inorganic nutrients, promotes the natural incorporation of nitrate and phosphate into additional biomass. This lowers these nutrients in the water and simultaneously prevents nitrate or phosphate deficiencies. The coloration and growth of corals, sponges, and other filter feeders noticeably improve.

Nitrate and phosphate levels can be stabilized particularly effectively at very low levels when Tropic Marin® NP-Bacto-Balance is used simultaneously with Tropic Marin® NP-Bacto-Pellets or Tropic Marin® NP-Bacto-Tricks. These are easy-to-use filter media made of organic biopolymers for fluidized bed reactors or trickle filters.

The dosage depends on the age of the aquarium:

For new and young aquariums (0-1 year*), no more than 0.25 ml per 100 liters of aquarium water should be added daily. For middle-aged aquariums (1-2 years*), up to 0.5 ml/100 liters can be dosed daily, and for mature and older aquariums (>2 years*), between 0.5 and 1 ml per 100 liters of aquarium water should be added daily. A dosage of 1 ml per 100 liters of aquarium water daily should never be exceeded.

* The age ranges are approximate guidelines; the actual classification depends on the stability of the pelvis.

At the start of treatment with Tropic Marin® NP-Bacto-Balance, the phosphate concentration should be between 0.02 mg/l and 0.1 mg/l. If phosphate concentrations are too low, we recommend using Tropic Marin® Plus-NP; if concentrations are too high, we recommend using Tropic Marin® Elimi-NP.

To enhance the effect of Tropic Marin® NP-Bacto-Balance, the dosage can be increased by 0.25 ml per 100 liters of aquarium volume daily every two weeks, but under no circumstances should it exceed the maximum dosage of 1 ml/100 liters daily. Add the concentrate to the aquarium in an area with strong water flow. Adding it at the beginning of the lighting period is advantageous. If cloudiness occurs after increasing the dosage of Tropic Marin® NP-Bacto-Balance, reduce the dosage back to the previous level.
