Some corals and coralline algae incorporate magnesium into their skeletons along with calcium and strontium. Magnesium is biochemically directly involved in the algae's photosynthesis, the conversion of carbon dioxide and light into organic compounds. Therefore, magnesium is one of the most important minerals in seawater.

Tropic Marin® Bio-Magnesium provides magnesium and carbon dioxide in a form that is optimally bioavailable, thus preventing magnesium deficiency in seawater and restoring the natural concentration ratio between the alkaline earth metals. These are essential prerequisites for a healthy coral reef in the aquarium.

- for biologically ideal magnesium supply in crystalline form in reef aquariums
- provides magnesium for strong skeletal growth of corals and coralline algae
- provides carbon dioxide for the zooxanthellae to support photosynthesis and the formation of the calcareous skeleton
- the natural ion composition and pH value of the water are not changed.
- without unnatural byproducts
- without phosphates and nitrates
- precise dosing and extremely easy application

Natural seawater has an average magnesium content of 1,280–1,300 mg/l. First, measure the magnesium concentration of your aquarium water and estimate the water volume of your tank, taking into account the decoration (stones, etc.).

powder
Adding one measuring spoon of Tropic Marin® Bio-Magnesium increases the magnesium content by approximately 10 mg/l per 100 l of water.
Recommended maximum dose: 2 measuring spoons per 100 liters of aquarium water per day.

To use, fill the measuring spoon level with Tropic Marin® Bio-Magnesium (use a leveler). Sprinkle the contents of the measuring spoon evenly onto the water surface while stirring. Ensure that no larger undissolved Tropic Marin® Bio-Magnesium crystals come into direct contact with the corals. To prevent clouding the water, add each subsequent spoonful only after the previous one has dissolved. Concentrations above 1,600 mg/l of magnesium should be avoided, as various organisms may react negatively to extremely high magnesium levels.
Over time, the density of the water can increase slightly. Please check the density regularly. In addition to the magnesium concentration, the calcium content should also be monitored.
